On Saturday, October 20, 2018, a Mass was celebrated by His Eminence Michael Cardinal Michai Kitbunchu, Bishop Joseph Pibul Visitnondachai, Bishop Joseph Sangval Surasarang, Rev. Fr. Dario Pavisa, Rev. Fr. Joseph Virasak Vanarotsuvit and several priests on the occasion of annual Thanksgiving for the Blessing of COERR’s 40 years of mission.
It was such an honor that Rev. Fr. Dario Pavisa, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Holy See kindly gave a Speech in the occasion of COERR’s 40th Anniversary.
During the ceremony, a statue of Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bunlert Tharachatr, was handed to Bishop Joseph Pibul by Rev. Fr. Bunlert’s relatives; Mr. Wirat Supasit, Mr. Preecha Tharachatr and Mr. Prasong Anyamanee. There was also a Trophy of Recognition presentation ceremony to several sponsors and supporters. Then a variety of food stall lunch was offered by many COERR volunteer groups to celebrate this ceremony.
This annual “COERR Gratitude Day” has also been organized to serve the following objectives: To celebrate the feast day of His Eminence Michael Cardinal Michai Kitbunchu, the first President of COERR; to remember Rev. Fr. John Baptist Bunlert Tharachatr, COERR’s first Executive Director; to recognize COERR’s supporters; to welcome all church-based volunteer groups as well as to have an annual gathering of COERR’s staff from National and all Field Offices country wide.
